Stand Up and Don't You Run

Well, I had to go into student services today to get my college life all straightened out. It was a complete cluster. Anyway in my hour long wait in the lobby I found a book "How to get any job with any degree." Myself being utterly confused with a complete lack of purpose, took a moment and scanned through the book. I skipped a few chapters, flipped a few pages, and landed on something interesting. It suggested I make a list (This book was all about the list) of the 5 things I want to do or be a part of in life.

So, here is my top 5 at the moment.

1.) Finish School (On a good note)- I will be here for an extra term next year then I am out.

2.) Spend a summer working in the West Indies - Maybe this year... Application in progress.

3.) Follow through with the tattoo - This means finishing the design and growing a pair of juevos.

4.) Every day do something to make myself better than I was the day before - Important: If I am going to do something, I will kill it. (ATTENTION: I am not suggesting murder. "Killing it" is a phrase that means "Doing it to you best ability or Giving 125%)

5.) Stop worrying about a career or thinking I need to have my life planned out - I am 21 years old. If I don't stop stressing I won't make 23.

There it is. Whammy, my top 5. Note - that is in no particular order. In fact, there is a damn good chance that the top 5 will change. Heck, probably by the time I finish this post I will have thought of a #6. It doesn't matter, its just interesting to see where my thoughts are heading. What direction my mentality is facing or the bearing needed to feed my soul. Take a moment in high fidelity and make a list for yourself.

Alright, I am off to do important college stuff and work on my numbers 1, 4, & 5.

That tattoo you're working on had better involve a heart and my name!

And as an interesting side note, Rachel Zoe uses the phrase "killing it" often on her show.
